Course Outline
Students must complete all modules outlined below along with practical ward attachment hours:
- Practice workplace communication & interpersonal relations
- Apply occupational literacy and numeracy
- Work in teams
- Practice health and safety measures
- Assess the client and prepare care plan
- Perform self-preparation activities
- Maintain the relationship with the client
- Attend domestic affairs of the client
- Prepare living area of the client
- Maintain personal hygiene and appearance of the client
- Maintain nutrition of the client
- Handle clients' movements
- Provide drug treatment
- Provide special care
- Check, record & maintain vital signs
- Care of an elderly person
